Kiss the Blarney Stone at the Corner Bar this Friday

Our Corner Bar pops up again this Friday March 1. Kiss the Blarney Stone for real with our special March cocktail, Kiss the Blarney Stone. Or have a local beer, on tap from Georgetown Brewery, Lucille IPA and Manny’s Pale Ale. We have wine by the glass, tasty reds and a fabulous Chardonnay from local winemaker Ancestry Cellars – all for $3 each. Non-alcoholic drinks are $1 each.

 

We provide free peanuts and pretzels. Bring your friends and make some new ones! Practice your blarney with amenable folks.

Movie Night this Friday, February 15

Doors open at 6:30pm, movie at 7. Free admission. Volunteers will be selling popcorn, candy and other movie fare. Bring blankets and pillows or sit in our chairs.
This is an all ages event. Bring your friends, family and neighbors.

Movie hint: E.B. White’s story of a spider who helps a pig escape the dinner table. Made in 2006, this animation includes the voices of Julia Roberts, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Oprah Winfrey, Kathy Bates, Dakota Fanning and more big stars.

Corner Bar this Friday, Feb 1

The Corner BarHighland Park’s Corner Bar, the one and only pop-up bar in the city of Seattle, welcomes you in from the rain, fog and occasional sunshine this Friday Feb 1st. Doors open at 6PM.

Local beer is on tap featuring Georgetown Brewery’s Lucille IPA and Manny’s Pale Ale, wine by the glass and cocktail special Love Potion #9 – all for $3 each. Non-alcoholic drinks $1 each. We provide free peanuts and pretzels.

Come bring your friends and make some new ones! It’s a blast.

No Corner Bar tomorrow!

The Corner Bar is contemplating the New Year and resting up from 2012 – so no Corner Bar this Friday.

Starting February 1, the Corner Bar returns every month on first Fridays.

Highland Park rocks New Years Eve!

Join us for our 4th Annual New Years Eve celebration!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6pm. The Not-So-Silent Night Parade.
Assemble in the parking lot at 6pm. Bring noisemakers, flashlights, lanterns, umbrellas – whatever is necessary! Parade starts when everyone is ready!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

7pm-ish. The Sage Comet Performance.
The performance will begin after everyone has returned from the Parade.

After the Sage Comet Performance – come inside to our first New Years Eve Corner Bar!

 

Live music from
Sedagive: eclectic, centering around rock, roots rock, classic stuff
Justin Hoffman: original folk rock with a reggae punch
Woody Moses & friends: jam session, starting around 11 pm until after midnight. Anyone who’s interested is welcome to sit in.

 

Your favorite local beer on tap, wine by the glass and the return of the awesome Sangria – all for $3 each. Non-alcoholic drinks $1 each. Peanuts and pretzels for all! Champagne toast at midnight.

No cover charge – but bring some dollars to support the bands.

This Week – Deck the Hall, Corner Bar, Holiday Bazaar


First, we Deck the Hall! Let’s get Festive and trim the tree! Wednesday, Dec 5, starting at 7pm.

Then, the Corner Bar offers up some Holiday Spirits this Friday Dec 7, starting at 6pm.
Your favorite local beer on tap, wine by the glass and our special Klausmo Holiday Cocktail – all for $3 each. Non-alcoholic drinks $1 each. Peanuts and pretzels for all!
Drew Medak returns with his Trio (Andrew Lihoudis and Remy Morritt) to jazz up the place again – and he might bring a little Schroeder with him too.

The next day (Saturday, Dec 8) don’t miss the Holiday Bazaar, from 10am to 3pm. Shop super local for handmade treasures made in the ‘hood. And don’t miss the special performance by Gildenfire Dance, starting at 12:45.
