Spring clean brings…new trees!

Four new trees were welcomed into the asphalt.

Other missions accomplished:
•  reorganized the kitchen and broom closet
•  reorganized the upstairs storage
•  washed the windows
•  pressure-washed the building and parking curbs
•  weeded 12th and Webster traffic circle
•  picked up trash at 16th and Webster bus stop

Vintage Dance this Friday

This Friday Night please join us for Vintage Music and dancing!
Jan 15th  7-10 p.m.

What kind of dances do we do??
One Step/Blues One Step, Tango,Waltz, Foxtrot, Two Step, Charleston, and more to early ragtime and jazz and blues!
What kind of music do you play?
We play original (and reproduction) recordings of popular music from roughly 1900 to the early 1930’s. Also, stride and ragtime pianist Paul Asaro will play a few sets in between the recorded music for your continued dancing pleasure.
What do I wear?
Vintage dress encouraged but not required.   We love any excuse to get dressed up!
What else do I need to know?
There’s plenty of parking and a great dance floor.  BYOB and snacks of any kind.

Michigan-Corson Exit (Off I-5, North or Southbound)

  • Michigan-Corson exit.
  • Right onto S. Michigan St.
  • Follow Michigan to 1st Ave. Bridge, taking ramp onto bridge.
  • Take FIRST exit (W. Marginal Way/South Park).
  • Right at end of ramp; left at signal.
  • Left at Highland Park Way (up the hill).
  • Take first right turn onto Holden,
  • Right onto 12th Ave. S.W.

    Monday & Thursday evenings with Terilyn Wyre
    6:30-7:45 pm – Intermediate/Advanced Hatha flow yoga class

    8:00-9:15 pm – Beginning Hatha flow yoga class

    ♦   A new 6-week dance class session begins Tuesday, January 5
    with Lilli Ann Carey and Dance for Joy

    6 Tuesdays, January 5. to February 9:
    Waltz 1  (6:15 PM)
    Waltz 2 (7:30 PM)
    Intermediate/Advanced Cross-Step.
    Swing 2 (8:45 PM) Cool moves.

    Singles and couples welcome.  No partner needed.

    ♦   Nia begins Wednesday, January 6 at 7pm, with a free get-started class.
    1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 7pm to 8pm.

    ♦   Gildenfire Dance classes for children begin Monday, January 11.

    3:45 pm – Preschool Dance Class
    4:30 pm – K-3 Dance Class
