Friday, November 7th, doors open at 6 pm.

This November marks the 95th Anniversary of the Highland Park Improvement Club – come celebrate with the elders from bygone times. And warm the fall tinges with vintage Brazilian jazz by Choroloco.

Also – get your Holiday photos when Rick (https://www.facebook.com/rcarrolleventphotography) returns to HPIC. A color portrait of you & your friends & family, printed and framed for $10. Fun!

Green Guidance – Walking or bicycling to the event is encouraged. It’s green, it makes the neighbors happier and provides a safe walk home!

Parental Guidance – There are toys and games set up on tables. Parents, please be aware of your child’s activities.  Activities such as ball throwing and chasing games are discouraged.

Movie Night this Friday – October 17th

Doors open at 6:30 pm, movie at 7. Free admission. Volunteers will be selling popcorn, candy and other movie fare. Bring blankets and pillows or sit in our chairs. This is an all ages event. Bring your friends, family and neighbors.

Movie hint: In this 1991 PG-13 (99 minutes) feature,  con artists plan to fleece the eccentric family using an accomplice who claims to be their long lost Uncle Fester.

Come to the HPIC Tailgate Party this Sunday, October 19th. This is an all ages event. There is no cover charge. Bring your friends and neighbors. HPIC is an inclusive organization, so come cheer on your favorite team, whichever one that might be!

Call for Vendors – Holiday Bazaar 2014

HPIC member Christie Sjostrom is organizing the Holiday Bazaar this year and is looking for vendors.

The cost is $25 ($20 if you are an HPIC member) to rent a table. We are looking for handmade arts and craft items to be sold – no commercial items please (such as Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, etc).

Bazaar will be on Saturday, November 15th from 10 am to 3 pm. Space is limited, so if you are interested, please email Christie at csjostrom@hotmail.com.

HPIC Corner Bar Welcomes The Subversive Square Dance Society – This Friday 9/5

Friday, September 5th, doors open at 6 pm.

We’re going to square dance (and line dance) with The Subversive Square Dance Society! The bands will be Rabbit Stew String Band and $4 Shoe. There will be callers and lessons will be given “as we go”. Fun will be had!
