Brainstorm the future design of HPIC – October 25th at 1pm

You are invited to HPIC’s first ever Design Charrette, Sunday, October 25th.

What should you bring? Yourself! Bring your ideas. Feel free to bring sketches or photos of things that you like about the club, as well as what you would like changed.

What’s a Design Charrette?
A charrette is an intensive planning session where citizens, designers and others collaborate on a vision for development. It provides a forum for ideas and offers the unique advantage of giving immediate feedback to the designers. More importantly, it allows everyone who participates to be a mutual author of the plan.

Why should I get involved?
The HPIC Board and many of us in the neighborhood have expressed different ideas over the years about what we would like to do with the building, to make it more appealing to look at and use. Here’s your chance to make your opinion known!

How does it work?
We have two architects from NBBJ who are generously facilitating the event to help us envision what we want this place to do and be for years to come. We need you to come and bring your thinking cap, good humor and ideas. This is a time to dream, a time to explore, a time to roll up your sleeves and dive in to draw pictures, shout out your ideas, and vote on your favorites. Children 12 and older are welcome to participate.

When does it start?
Doors open at noon and the two hour working session starts at 1PM. Refreshments and snacks will be provided; adult beverages, all ages beverages, coffee and light snacks.  Please RSVP
