Our mission at HPIC is to enhance the quality of life in the neighborhood by providing an inclusive gathering place, hosting neighborhood programs that celebrate the diverse cultures we represent, and fostering community engagement today and for future generations to come.

Throughout 2025, HPIC events like First Fridays reactivated our site, brought people together, and demonstrated to funders that Highland Park needs a new building for community connection. Funders don’t just look at blueprints — they look at community energy. In 2025, you brought the energy!
We invested $5,000 into live bands, local artists, permits, supplies, and the small details that make those nights special. In return, HPIC raised $500,000 for the Rebuild — a 100× multiplier. That’s the power of community.
Special thanks to Seattle City Council Member Rob Saka and his team for their advocacy on behalf of HPIC, which was instrumental in securing funding from the City budget.
